University Library ‘toolbox’

Noting that there have been further changes to the University Library website, I had a quick l0ok around and discovered a new thing (new to me, anyway) – the Library Toolbox.

The Toolbox includes alternative ways to access Newton –  via igoogle, Facebook, and browser toolbars and plugins and a choice of RSS feeds (we display the catch-all UL News feed in our left side bar).

Also mentioned is the excellent Zotero, an open source reference management application which can be downloaded as an extension to the Firefox web browser. This is worth investigating. Incidentally,  Thomson Reuters who produce EndNoteare currently suing George Mason University, creator of Zotero.
