LibrarySearch (beta) – a new way to search

LibrarySearch logoThe University recently launched LibrarySearch (beta)—a new search service which covers a wider range of resources. As well as the Newton catalogues, it will search electronic databases and journals, and the university’s DSpace@Cambridge repository presenting the results in a unified list. The results are clustered on the fly into facets by which the results can be further refined.

LibrarySearch (beta) is the first product of the University’s acquisition of the Aquabrowser Library Platform late last year and the work involved since then to integrate it into our relatively complicated Library catalogue structure.

LibrarySearch (beta) also includes many other search refinements which are summarized on an information page.
