The library – a stress free environment?

It may be impossible to ever achieve a truly stress-free environment , but we are aiming to keep stress levels to a minimum in the library during exam term.

Lots of you have been joining us for squash and biscuits in the library foyer every weekday afternoon at 3.30pm – the aim of these sessions is to encourage you to take a well-deserved break, rehydrate and refocus.

We’ve also got jigsaws and a chess set in the ground floor reading area if you want to do something different for a while but still keep your mind active.

The current book display next to the self-issue kiosk contains books on study skills, exam technique, essay writing and referencing. Feel free to read or borrow any of the books from this table.

Library staff are happy to help with any problems you may be having, whether it’s finding books, looking for past papers, creating your bibliography, or printing. Just ask!
